Robin Thicke has been busy with television co-starring on BET’s primetime show Real Husbands of Hollywood. Now the R&B singer is prepping his untitled sixth solo album with its first single “Blurred Lines.” Recently, VIBE caught up with the dapper crooner on set of his new video which features T.I. and Pharrell. When discussing the follow-up to 2011′s Love After War, Thicke reveals he has 40 songs already recorded, three done with Skateboard P. As of now The Kang is the only feature on his new project, but Robin expects more to be added soon.
“It’s got a lot of uptempo stuff, more than I normally make and then it’s got those sexy ballads and heartfelt music. I never like to repeat myself, I always try to make sure every album is completely different from all the others that I’ve made so hopefully I’ve accomplished that. So far there are no collaborations on the new album besides T.I., but I’m reaching out to some people now that I’m starting to get the album almost done.”
You can preview Robin’s new video on BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood tonight at 10 p.m. EST, with the song arriving in a few days.
